What are all the dissimilar lens types that are bachelor?
Explore Catechism'southward extensive range of interchangeable lenses for EOS DSLR and mirrorless cameras.
RF
Created for R System cameras, RF lenses offering higher quality, speed, and operation thanks to outstanding optical applied science and design. The EOS R System's unique 12-pin connection radically improves communication between the photographic camera's lens and trunk, making it faster than was previously possible. The RF lens mount is 54mm wide with a shallow depth from the mount to the sensor. The design allows lenses to be closer to the sensor, enabling the cosmos of faster, brighter, higher-quality eyes with unsurpassed performance. RF lenses have improved video capabilities, plus neat touches like the control ring and more meaty size.
EF, TS-E, MP-East
The original EOS camera system was introduced in 1987. At its eye was the Canon EF lens mount, connecting lenses to the camera body in a fully electronic way for the start time. Apart from the physical connection between these 2 components all communication is electronic, assuasive for highly accurate, existent-fourth dimension information transfer. Canon became the first to build the motor that drives the focus within each lens, rather than using a motor inside the camera body. Fifty-fifty with connected development and evolution of focusing systems, Prototype Stabilizer technologies, specialist lens elements and weather sealing, the original EF mountain design remains unchanged. TS-Due east and MP-East specialist lenses have an EF mount. All EF mount lenses are compatible with every EOS camera always produced, including the new EOS R System and EOS Thou series when used with the appropriate lens adapter.
EF-Due south
EF–Southward lenses are specifically designed for EOS DSLR models with a more compact sized sensor – delivering lenses that are lightweight, versatile and supremely portable. With the EF–S range, Catechism's engineers took advantage of the APS–C sensor size to produce lenses that are non just lighter and smaller, but also offer photographers far greater wide-angle choice. Lightweight EF–S lenses are available in a wide range of focal lengths, extending from 10mm to 250mm (16mm to 400mm with 1.6 crop factor taken into account).
EF-K
EF-Thou mount lenses were introduced with the original EOS Thou range of cameras in 2012. Even more than meaty compared to the EF and EF-South range they are designed exclusively for use with EOS 1000 series cameras. Offer a range from ultra-wide to telephoto to macro they're portable enough to accept everywhere, they're a slap-up option for those taking a more than creative approach to everyday photography. Meaty EF–Chiliad lenses are available in focal lengths extending from 11mm to 200mm (17.6mm to 320mm with 1.6 crop cistron taken into account).
